Colina Flora is a comfortable, cozy “green” country guesthouse, peacefully located in the rural hills of the beautiful Sintra Natural Park – a UNESCO World Heritage and Cultural Site.

Colina Flora has ocean views and is only 3+km from the amazing Adraga Beach (and several other white sandy beaches), considered to be one of the 20 most beautiful beaches in Europe. Colina Flora is in the lovely hamlet of Pe da Serra (Foot of the Serra) and is surrounded by circa 15.000 HA of Sintra Natural Park´s magical forests, wonderful historic sites, pre-historic ruins, soaring cliffs, rolling hills and breathtaking views.

Stroll around

A 5 minute walk from Colina Flora is Flores do Cabo, a restored winery which now is an organic, vegetarian cafe, gallery, events center, and where concerts and yoga sessions are offered.

A 20 minute walk brings you to the quaint village of Almocageme with its lovely small shops, cafes and restaurants including an organic vegan restaurant. Other area restaurants also have vegetarian/vegan options. The main village grocery shop has a large selection of organic vegan and vegetarian food items and lots of locally grown fruits and vegetables.

Food and Rooms

Colina Flora currently has 5 individually styled guest rooms, a low chemical swimming pool, guest kitchen, and outside seating and garden areas.

A delicious organic, local, “Food for Life” vegetarian breakfast is served (vegans and gluten free always welcome). The towels, bathrobes, slippers and most of the bed linens are made of organic cotton. Organic bath and body gel is supplied.

The cleaning supplies are all environmentally friendly. Colina Flora recycles and composts as much as possible. Wifi is available in all of the rooms and in the guest lounge.

Paradise for Natur Lovers

One of the most beautiful parts of Portugal, the Sintra Natural Park is a paradise for walkers, cyclists, surfers, and nature lovers. There are also many other activities possible such as in-room massage, wine tastings, swimming, horse riding, Segway safaris and other excursions, visiting historic sites, etc.

Colina Flora lies in the heart of the Park yet is only a 20 minute drive from Historic Sintra’s famous palaces and gardens and from the coastal resort town of Cascais and is only 45 minutes from Lisbon and its international airport. About 70% of our guests choose not to hire a car. They are happy with public transport (a well serviced bus stop is only a 5 minute walk away), walking and Colina Flora’s free local shuttle service to nearby restaurants.
