Green Haven

The Green Haven – Vegan Bed & Breakfast offers 5 bedrooms for up to 10 guests.

The room “Kajuete” is perfect for a couple as well as for a single person as you will find a 1,60m bed in it. The room “Koje” is quite cosy with 8m² for one person (single bed). We have a trailer “Jolle” on the terrace (1 to 2 persons from May to September), an apartment „Oberdeck“ (1 to 3 persons). And our “Captain’s Suite” has a sleeping room with a double bed (2× 90cm) and a living room with a single bed and an extra mattress for up to 4 persons in total.

Our guests are invited to relax and get in contact with other guests in the huge community room with living room, dining room and kitchen. Here Christiane offers you vegan breakfast on request. A fridge with chilled vegan drinks is waiting for you (extra charge). In the “sharing space” shelf different books, CDs and other stuff are waiting to be exchanged.

The Green Haven’s furniture is mostly upcycled or reused. Much of the decoration and some furniture are made from things people usually throw away, like a bed or a table made of pallets, a curtain made of coffee bags and waste baskets made from used flower buckets. Bed linen and towels are new but GOTS (fair trade) certified and made of organic cotton. All used products like e.g. detergents or wall colour are animal-free.

The Green Haven is located in the district Hamburg Wandsbek between the airport (15 minutes by train) and the city centre (8 minutes by train) of Hamburg.

In the neighbourhood you will find supermarkets, organic food stores, a shopping mall and different restaurants.

Please note that the Green Haven does not have ensuite rooms – you will share one bathroom, another shower and another toilet with the other guests.
