Sewall House Yoga Retreat
Sewall House (National Historic Registry) offers personalized yoga and nature retreats since 1997 from May to October in the tiny town of Island Falls, Maine, which is nestled among rivers with a small island at its center and a cafe overlooking the river.
Veteran NY City Yoga instructor Donna Davidge, great grand-daughter of Theodore Roosevelt’s nature guide William Sewall, offers classes for beginners to more experienced practitioners.
A destination for well-being, with tasty acclaimed vegetarian cuisine (including gluten free and vegan offerings), the house offers private upgraded bedrooms in much the same spirit as TR enjoyed the home, a place for positive change and friendships.
Retreats are 2-6 people at a time, schedule is planned individually, from hiking and kayaking on local lakes, to meditation, massage and sauna.
We are near a beautiful State Park for hikes, near two lakes for swimming, kayaking and canoeing and near a local swimming hole one can bike, walk or drive to.
