Coastal Maine Farmhouse & Iyengar Yoga Center – East Room

Double room & private bath in a typical Maine farmhouse, built in 1850 on the Coastal Road in the quiet “Valley of Stars” – a very rural stretch of coastal land tucked away on the Brooksville peninsula. The Iyengar Yoga Center is on the property. An easy mile to the nearest beach & a peaceful, serene bay. A relaxed, lived-in home welcoming independent, unfussy guests & a good starting off point for exploring the coast. Ocean air, abundant wildlife, night skies crammed with stars. 20 minutes to Blue Hill, 1 hour to Acadia National Park.

This room is on the ground floor with private bathroom attached. It’s a peaceful room with three large windows and lots of morning sunlight.

Our humble old farmhouse, built in 1850, is plain, solid and simple. The ceilings are low, the floorboards creak. We love it! The Iyengar Yoga Center is adjacent to the house. Please read the entire listing before booking!

If you are planning on joining the yoga classes, during July and August the schedule is as follows:
Monday 8:30 – 9:30AM Specific Needs
Tuesday 8:30 – 9:45AM Beginners
Wednesday 8:30 – 10:00AM Intermediates
Saturday 8:30 – 10:00AM Intermediates
Saturday 10:30 – 11:30AM Beginners

Vegan/vegetarian home, but you do not have to be vegetarian or vegan to stay here. House guests share the kitchen to prepare their own meals.

Rules

Strict. Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.

Check in anytime after 4PM - just let us know roughly your time of arrival. Thank you for observing the following: PARKING is on the right-hand side of the driveway, opposite the house. Park perpendicular, facing the field. SHOES OFF! This is a no-shoes home. Shoes are kept just inside any door to the house or yoga center. Please don't bring them any farther into the house. FOOD: Guests share the kitchen and you can eat whatever you like but please don't boil live sea animals here, I find it very upsetting. Thanks for understanding!
