Temple Lodge Club
Temple Lodge, a quiet oasis in the heart of London, is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Broadway, yet just a few minutes walk from its main underground and bus station. The River Thames is 3 minutes walk down the road with pleasant walks on either side.
Because Temple Lodge is situated in the heart of Hammersmith with direct access in all directions, it is as easy to go out to Kew Gardens and Richmond Park as it is to go to theatres and concerts in the West End.
It was once the home of the artist Sir Frank Brangwyn. Whilst his studio, which he built himself, has now become a chapel with a vegetarian restaurant on its former mezzanine floor, the house itself is given over to welcoming bed and breakfast visitors to London. „The Gate Vegetarian Restaurant“ with their acclaimed international cuisine is right next door.
Guests come from the four corners of the world to enjoy the quietness and tranquillity of the house. Many have described it as a really peaceful haven to return to after the rigours of a day out.
The absence of any televisions in the house or rooms supports this atmosphere. Visitors to the house enter a courtyard with a small garden through the ‘Angel Gate’. To the rear of the house is a quiet and secluded garden, and most of our bedrooms, the library and the dining room look out over this garden with its seasonal changes and squirrels in the trees.
We support an Eco-friendly ethos which stands behind our use of natural fibres, our largely organic breakfast and the range of organic and natural WELEDA cosmetics and skin care products which can be purchased from the reception desk.
We offer 3 conference rooms for business meetings.
